So, let me get this straight…

If you are a Catholic priest, and you are guilty of molesting and/or otherwise abusing young children, boys and girls, your superiors will transfer you to another church where you can continue your molestations, you will continue your priesthood, and they will do everything in their power to protect you, which includes not reporting your crimes to the police. And then, if/when a crime is
reported, they will refuse to assist the police and courts in obtaining prosecutions, and they will only obey the law under a court order from a judge. You may even by transferred out of the country to avoid prosecution.
But, if you are a Catholic priest who is caught in a compromising position with a consenting adult woman, your superiors will immediately throw you under the
bus, and shrug their shoulders with their palms up…..
