If it is effective, then, of course we should engage in torture. It could provide valuable intelligence that will save American lives, and there is a certain strategic advantage if our enemies must consider the possibility they can be tortured to reveal information.

As seen in this video, it is difficult to dig yourself out of a hole…. So, it does look like she lied. And I’m a little disappointed because I would have thought that she was smarter than that; she must have known that there would be a documented trail leading back to those meetings, and that her lie would be exposed. |
